March 13, 2018 by Carol Fahrer Pfeiffer (Register to contact)

In 2018 I have reached the age of 70; since I have excellent genes I expect to live at least 30+ years more. This year one of my goals is to learn to cross country ski and I have purchase said equipment to accomplish this goal. I also hope to read at least 100 books this year. I am going to learn how to use a kiln & go back to Penta Adult classes this fall to learn wood working.

Kathi runs a Google+ community that focuses on Google Glass and shares efforts of several Healthcare Glass explorers who are exploring the potential of Glass in healthcare settings.

Reunion Expands Thru Social Media

February 16, 2013 by Kathi Corl Browne (Register to contact)

The Perrysburg Class of 1982 tried something new this past reunion. Rather than limit classmates to meeting in person, the reunion launched a Google+ hangout on air to allow long distant friends to offer a greeting by computer, or silently observe the reunion on YouTube!

Google+ launched this new feature in November 2011, allowing people to connect virtually at no cost. One of the '82 classmates, Kathi (Corl) Browne, couldn't make the reunion but offered to coordinate a hangout so she and others could take part. Another classmate who was undergoing chemo treatments for breast cancer also took advantage of the opportunity to say hello.

Social media is a buzz word in the marketing world, but who would have thought it would be used for a class reunion?
